Took the bench seat apart. The folks at Legendary Interiors said I should get a look inside before I order anything. I've already got the new vinyl.

I knew I'd need new seat bottom foam. The buns (one for the bottom, 2 for the seat backs) are another issue. The driver's seat back definitely needs to be replaced. The other two are in ok shape, but don't smell very good.

I took apart the driver's seat back (down to the bun), and the seat bottom (down to the bun). Took many pictures so I know how to put them back together. I left the passenger seat back together, so I have a reference for the left seat back.

February 6, 2003

Tried to figure out why the light in my tach stopped working (it worked when I first put the dash back in the car). Spent an hour or so on my back tracing wires behind the dash. I verified that the wire for the light has power and a good contact, and also a good ground. I can only assume the bulb burned out.

Bums me out, but it's not the end of the world. The car won't get driven much at night, and even it if does, a lighted tach isn't mandatory.

My new chunk arrived today. Looks very nice. I only hope it works as good as it looks. Driving the car with a whining rear end is very annoying. I hope this baby is quiet...
